Some people come to the Tennessee Valley for a weekend. Others come for a contract, a travel assignment, or the six months between closing on one house and moving into the next. If that’s you, you need something different from a campground — a clean, quiet place to park for more than just a night.
That’s what you will find at Capshaw RV Park. Family owned and operated, opened in 2025 with 60 sites up to 64 feet deep on Capshaw Road in Harvest — close enough to Huntsville, Madison and Athens to commute, far enough out to hear nothing at night.
One monthly rate, one monthly payment, no utility bills to set up or transfer:
Rates start at $750 per month and vary by site. Add 5% Alabama lodging tax — and if you stay longer than 180 days, that tax is refunded to you on the 181st day. A $100 refundable security deposit is held on the card on file, and there’s a 3% processing fee on transactions.
Contract and defense workers. Redstone Arsenal, the aerospace and defense firms around Cummings Research Park, and the construction trades keeping up with The Valley’s growth. Whether your assignment runs three months or a year, this is a great location to base out of.
Travel nurses and medical staff. Huntsville Hospital and the surrounding clinics run on 13-week contracts. Bring the rig, park it, and skip the furnished-apartment search entirely.
Manufacturing and plant personnel. The Mazda Toyota plant and the suppliers around it bring people to Limestone and Madison counties for stretches at a time.
Families between houses. We’ve hosted more than one couple waiting on a build to finish. One stayed six weeks and told us they felt safe the whole time, which is the review we’re proudest of.
Seasonal guests and visiting grandparents. Stay with us during your extended family visit.

Groceries, hardware and restaurants are a few minutes out in any direction. For severe weather, two public storm shelters sit on Capshaw Road and open whenever Limestone County is under a tornado watch — Bethel Church of Christ at 1.2 miles and Good Shepherd United Methodist at 2.2 miles.
